Maintaining a healthy weight, engaging in regular physical activity, and following a balanced diet low in saturated and trans fats, refined carbohydrates, and added sugars are key preventative measures. Management: Management of type 2 diabetes often involves a combination of lifestyle changes and medication. Weight loss, regular exercise, and a healthy diet are cornerstone treatments. Oral medications, such as metformin, sulfonylureas, and DPP-4 inhibitors, can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood glucose levels. In some cases, insulin therapy may become necessary.

Lifestyle Changes for Diabetes Prevention and Management
