CS:GO Major: IEM Rio Major 2023
The IEM Rio Major 2023 is a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major tournament, which will be held from November 10th-23rd, 2023. The Major is the highest level of competitive CS:GO, and the IEM Rio Major 2023 will be the first Major to be held in Brazil.
The tournament will feature 24 teams from all over the world, competing for a prize pool of $1 million. The top 16 teams will be directly invited, while the bottom 8 teams will have to qualify through regional tournaments.
The IEM Rio Major 2023 will be played in a three-stage format:
- **Group Stage:** The teams will be divided into four groups of six teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
- **Playoffs:** The playoffs will be played in a single-elimination bracket. The teams will compete in best-of-three matches, until only one team remains.
- **Grand Final:** The Grand Final will be played in a best-of-five match. The winner of the Grand Final will be crowned the IEM Rio Major 2023 champion.
